Abu Dhabi Kitesurfing Race

Under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed al Nahyan, Chairman of Abu Dhabi Sports Council, the Abu Dhabi Sailing & Yacht Club is pleased to announce:
The ‘Abu Dhabi Kitesurfing Races’ to be hosted on February 25th, 2011 in Abu Dhabi
Organizing Authority
The Organizing Authority for the event will be the Abu Dhabi Sailing & Yacht Club. This event will be organized in conjunction with the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, the Abu Dhabi Municipality and the Abu Dhabi International Marine Sports Club.
Venue
The venue for the event will be the Abu Dhabi Corniche, Gate # 4. The onshore area and race administration will be located on the Abu Dhabi Public Beach.
The races will be run on the waters of the Abu Dhabi Corniche.
Entry and Eligibility
a) This event is open to all kitesurfers in the following categories:
• Male over age 15
• Female over age 15
• Juniors under age 15
b) Eligible riders may enter by submitting a completed registration form before 01:00 pm
on February 25th. The registration form may be submitted via;

• At the race office at the venue.
c) Riders under the age of 18 must have written permission of parents or legal guardians
to participate in the event.
d) The maximum number of entries for the event shall be 30 persons.
Schedule
a) Friday (February 25th, 2011)
• 09:00 Venue and Race Office open
• 11:00 Registration Open
• 13:00 Race Briefing
• 14:00 Races start
• 17:00 Prize giving
b) In case of unsuitable weather conditions on Friday the event will be hosted on Saturday
(February 26th, 2011). The same schedule will apply.
c) The schedule of races will be posted on the official notice board, at least 30 min before
the planned start of a race.
