Kitesurfing competition in Freestyle and Race: ‘Al Gharbia Kiteboarding Championship’ on 25th/26th March and 1st/2nd April!

The Al Gharbia Watersports Festival is a 9 day extravaganza, organized by Abu Dhabi motors Club, technical operations conducted by Abu Dhabi International Marine Sports Club and initiated by Western Region Development Council. It is held at Mirfa  public beach, which lies on Al Gharbia’s 350 kilometre stunning coastline (click here for directions on their official webpage). The festival is filled with wonder, water and world-class athletes. From kiteboards and surf ski kayaks in the waves to chilled-out camping and concerts on shore, the Watersports Festival is destined to be the wettest wildest week in the UAE.

Kiteboarding Competition:

Disciplines: Race & Freestyle

Prizes: 3 categories for both disciplines (Overall | UAE National | Female)

1st Prize: AED 10,000 | 2nd Prize: AED 7,500 | 3rd Prize: AED 5,000

Friday, March 25th

10:00 – 11:00 Registration for all Competitors in Mirfa beach.

11:00 – 12:00 Competitors meeting and drawing.

12:00 – 18:00 Race, Freestyle.

Saturday, March 26th

11:00 – 12:00 Competitors meeting.

12:00 – 18:00 Race, Freestyle.

Friday, April 1st

11:00 – 12:00 Competitors meeting.

12:00 – 18:00 Race, Freestyle.

Saturday, April 2nd

11:00 – 12:00 Competitors meeting.

12:00 – 17:00 Race, Freestyle.
